Criteria for Inclusion

The Criteria Subcommittee of the Clearinghouse Advisory Workgroup (CAW) has developed the guidelines set forth here. The CAW authorized this criteria development to provide clarity and consistency of acceptable resources.
Guidelines for Community Resources

Appropriateness of Material for Community Resources

Community resources posted on the MN Asthma Information Center website must be congruent with the mission and goal statements of the American Lung Association of Minnesota.

The responsibility for determining the appropriateness of community resources and programs belongs to the Minnesota Asthma Coalition Regional Managers and the final decision lies with the Clearinghouse Manager.

Criteria:
Community resources listed on the Clearinghouse must be
1) specific to asthma care and education;
and 2) needs to provide information on asthma education to any individual in the community. Information and resources must be provided in an unbiased manner. Community resource information that will not be included on the website are:

Information containing product endorsement
Information including specific health care provider names

Information or resources that do not meet National Institutes of Health (NIH) / National Heart and Blood Institute Guidelines (NHLBI).
